Marine Parade Night Market

“Sizzling Saturdays – Taste the world by the sea”
Saturday night summer feasts by the beach in Napier. A destination for foodies to savour world dishes & global music every ‘odd’ Saturday across 7 themes. Where every stall tells a story, every dish celebrates culture and every evening becomes a relaxed feast on the seaside.

A Market Built for Food Lovers
Every odd Saturday from 17 January to 25 April, our market transforms into a global tasting trail. Each fortnight features a “hero” dish theme – celebrating flavours from Aotearoa – New Zealand and around the world.

17 January — Summer Street Food Carnival – Wellington Anniversary Weekend
Our opening night bursts with colour, energy, and global street eats. Think Indian chaat, Vietnamese banh mi, Philipino BBQ, Greek gyros, Malaysian satay, American smash burgers, Māori frybread sliders, Spanish churros, and Italian pizza slices — all enjoyed under a Hawke’s Bay summer sky.
Taste the world, one summer bite at a time.

31 January — Aotearoa Kai & Pasifika Flavours
A warm celebration of home. This night honours the flavours of Aotearoa and our Pacific neighbours — from hāngī-style plates and frybread to Samoan sapasui, panikeke, and island BBQ. A perfect lead‑in to Waitangi Day season and a beautiful expression of our region’s identity.
A celebration of home: Aotearoa kai, Pasifika soul.

7 February — Lunar New Year: Asian Night Feast. Celebrate the Year of the Horse
Lanterns, lucky dishes, and the vibrant flavours of Asia. Celebrate Chinese Spring Festival and the wider Lunar New Year season with dumplings, bao, noodles, pho, laksa, biryani, lumpia, larb, and more. A night of colour, culture, and incredible food.
Lantern lights, lucky bites — feast your way into the New Year.

21 February – No market – Art Deco Festival

7 March — Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Mezze Night
Warm, aromatic, and perfect for late summer evenings. Explore the flavours of Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Spain, and Italy — from shawarma and gözleme to souvlaki, mantu dumplings, paella, and churros. A night of shared plates, bold spices, and sun‑kissed flavours.
Warm nights, bold spices, shared plates.

21 March — Americana, BBQ & Comfort Food Classics
Big, bold, indulgent — this is comfort food at its finest. Enjoy American BBQ brisket, loaded fries, gourmet burgers, Philipino‑American fusion, Māori smoked meats, New York slices, Napoli‑style pizza, and nostalgic desserts like waffles, soft serve, and churros.
Big smoke, bold flavours, bring your appetite.

11 April — Spice Trail: India to the Middle East
As autumn arrives, follow the spice trail through India, Turkey, Lebanon, and Afghanistan. Rich curries, tandoori, kebabs, mantu, naan wraps, and aromatic rice dishes fill the air with warmth and colour.
Follow the spice — every stall tells a story.

25 April — Global Comfort Food Finale
Our final night brings the world together on one plate. A greatest‑hits celebration of every cuisine in the market — dumplings, BBQ, paella, pizza, curries, gyros, satay, frybread, noodles, churros, and more.
One last feast — the world on a plate.
