Don’t miss the outrageous Kiwi comedy STiFF, written by acclaimed New Zealand playwright, actress, and filmmaker April Phillips. With seasons in Auckland, London, and Melbourne, this modern farce has delighted audiences worldwide and earned rave reviews for its cheeky humour and unforgettable characters.
Special highlight: April Phillips herself will be joining us in person for one night only, on the final night – a rare chance to meet the award winning writer behind the play.
Synopsis: Angel Delight, the illegitimate daughter of a funeral parlour director, unexpectedly inherits the family business. But before she can sell the valuable land, she must keep the funeral home running for five years. The problem? Angel knows nothing about funerals – but plenty about prostitution. With the help of her “girls” (including the obsessive compulsive transvestite Delilah), she runs an undercover massage parlour inside the funeral home, all while dodging the suspicions of disgruntled ex employee Mr. R. Swipe. Expect suspenders, death by misadventure, and unorthodox embalming techniques in this quickfire comedy that’s rude not crude, cheeky not vulgar.

• Hailed by the New Zealand Herald as “laughed from the first line to the last”
