Over the Rainbow


Following on from their recent 20th Anniversary celebrations, The Bay Cities’ Symphonic Band is looking forward to continuing the music with their upcoming concert, ‘Over the Rainbow’ at 2pm on Sunday 9th November at the historic St Matthew’s Church in Hastings.

Guest vocalist Amy Dunn has been invited back to perform Dorothy’s iconic song from the Wizard of Oz musical, and other items on the programme include band library favourites from the past 20 years such as Sousa’s, ‘El Capitan’ March, Jacob de Haan’s, ‘Oregon,’ Shostakovich’s fast and furious ‘Galop’, Scott Watson’s, ‘Extraordinary Machines of Clockwork and Steam,’ and Edward Elgar’s, ‘Nimrod’ from the Enigma Variations among others.

Only $5 on the door and free for Music Society members
