This YMY Preliminary concert is a highly affordable option for audiences to enjoy a daytime concert by young pianists, instrumentalists and singers. Check the programme online to decide if you want to hear a particular artist, or stay for the whole day. STUDENTS under 18 - you get in FREE!
Each performer performs a varied 12- 20 minute programme of their choice of music - so it ranges from classical to contemporary, often including Asian, American and New Zealand compositions.
Adjudicator Roy Tankersley will select six finalists to play in the Final concert on 12 September - tickets also available on Eventfinda.
Note: the audience can enter or leave at any time between programmes - check the website for the programme.
