French Film April 2026 - Ciné-Club

The film for April is Àma Gloria (2023), PG - 84 minutes, Drama, French with English subtitles
Cleo is six years old, has a myopic look and has been madly in love with Gloria, her nanny, since she was born. When Gloria receives a call and must urgently return to her home in Cape Verde to care for her two children, whom she has not raised, Cleo makes her promise to meet one last time. ​
Cléo a tout juste six ans. Elle aime follement Gloria, sa nounou qui l’élève depuis sa naissance. Mais Gloria doit retourner d'urgence au Cap-Vert, auprès de ses enfants. Avant son départ, Cléo lui demande de tenir une promesse: la revoir au plus vite. (Allo-Cine)

Focal Point will be selling $10 glasses of wine and providing complimentary bread and cheese.
The film starts at 6:30pm and supper is available afterwards at Pipi's café (please note on your registration if interested).
