
Join the festivity and fun at the annual Taikura Fête! A much-loved celebration of community and culture, held in the idyllic surrounds of Taikura Rudolf Steiner School. 
 
Discover an abundance of fun for families of all ages: 
- Get creative with our arts and crafts activities – candle dipping, flower crowns, the art spinner and more! 
- Feast on fresh, homemade wholesome food at our Real Food Market 
- Delight in the magic of our Children's Wonderland - fun and games for tamariki of all ages. Joust on the beam, visit a fairy, try your luck at the coconut shy, or find some treasures at the Children’s Shop 
- Experience a wealth of performing arts throughout the day 
- Fossick for one of-a-kind creations and unique gifts at our Market Emporium 
- Rest and relax in one of the quieter places or enjoy a Devonshire Tea 
 
What you need to know: 
- Gates open 10am, Taikura Rudolf Steiner School, 505 Nelson St North, Hastings 
- Eftpos is available 
- Children’s activities are paid for using the Fête currency “magic beans” – these can be purchased upon entry or within the school grounds using cash or Eftpos 
- We aim for minimal waste and encourage you to bring your reusable cup, plate and cutlery 
 
The Taikura Fête is an accomplishment of the creativity, dedication, generosity and skill of the entire school community of whanau, tamariki and staff. We invite you to experience the creativity of our community and the special character of our kura.
