Join us on Monday 14 September to celebrate te reo Māori as a community.

Starting at 12pm, gather at The Lighthouse and walk to Mānukanui Pā (Library Green).

-Celebrate and kōrero in te reo Māori
-Enjoy a free sausage sizzle

Our challenge to you! Make a bright and colourful sign celebrating Wairoa as a Te Reo Town - win a prize!

At 1.30pm, enjoy a free movie screening of "Coco" in te reo Māori, at The Gaiety Theatre.

Supported by Te Wairoa Reo Rua, Wairoa District Council, Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa, The Gaiety Theatre, and Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori.
