Electrify Hawke’s Bay Expo 2026 is a free, community-led event where you can see the technology, compare different options and get practical answers before making a major home, transport or business decision.

Loads of exhibitors and community organisations are scheduled to take part, bringing electric vehicles, e-bikes, solar, batteries, heat pumps, hot-water systems, smart-home technology and finance together in one place. You do not need to understand the jargon or be ready to buy anything. Come with questions and leave with a clearer idea of what could work for you.

At the Expo, you can:

• Explore EV charging for homes, businesses and fleets
• Learn about heat pumps and hot-water heat pumps
• Discover induction cooking, efficient appliances and smart-home technology
• Ask about finance, healthy homes and consumer rights
• Hear real stories from households and businesses already electrifying
• Talk directly with installers, providers, experts and community organisations

Exhibitors include Geely, Hawke’s Bay Toyota, Fisher & Paykel Home Solutions, Daikin, Unison, Lodestone Energy, Westpac and Napier City Council, alongside Hawke’s Bay solar, heating, transport and community specialists.

𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲
Throughout the day, Ask an Expert sessions, practical demonstrations and real-world case studies will explore home and business electrification, solar, efficient heating, battery recycling and Hawke’s Bay’s changing energy choices.

A non-partisan Hawke’s Bay candidate panel is also being planned, subject to final confirmations. Local candidates will be asked consistent, practical questions about energy affordability, solar, electric transport, resilience and Hawke’s Bay’s future, helping voters compare their answers.

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵ā𝗻𝗮𝘂
The Expo is for households, renters, property owners, families, farmers, businesses and anyone curious about an electric future. House of Science will provide hands-on Electric Future activities for children, and food and coffee will be available throughout the day. Come for an hour or stay for the talks and demonstrations.
