The 17th National Waiata Māori Music awards ceremony showcases the diversity and richness of Māori music, celebrating the talent and creativity of Māori musicians from all genres and backgrounds. It is a platform for artists to share their stories, culture and language through their music, and to be recognised for their contributions to the music industry.

In addition to the awards ceremony, the event also includes performances from some of the top Māori musicians in the country. Overall, the National Waiata Māori music awards are a celebration of Māori Music and culture, and a way to honour the incredible talent and creativity of Māori musicians. It is a night not to be missed for anyone who appreciates and values Māori music.
