Someone once said that if New Zealand music was a house, Don McGlashan would be a load-bearing beam. From Blam Blam Blam, The Front Lawn, through to The Mutton Birds and his four acclaimed solo albums, that beam remains unvarnished, and as strong as ever.
McGlashan’s most recent solo album, Bright November Morning, went straight into the New Zealand charts at No. 1. Recorded in Lyttelton, Auckland and Vancouver, and full of inspired playing from his band The Others, featuring Shayne P Carter (Straitjacket Fits, Dimmer), Chris O’Connor (SJD, Phoenix Foundation) and James Duncan (SJD, Dimmer), Bright November Morning marks a new stage in McGlashan’s generous and humane songbook.
Don McGlashan & The Others will be journeying through his latest album, Bright November Morning, with plenty of back catalogue favourites thrown in.

“He always brings an empathetic, soulful pen and sound that makes his highly developed, moody-melodic pop so deeply involving, his sure voice conveying care, desire, longing, and regret. Consistently superlative.” - Big Takeover Magazine, New York
