Each month the Hastings Music Society presents varied concerts that feature a selection of predominantly classical music from local Hawkes bay musicians, singers, soloists, chamber groups, choirs, big bands and orchestras. These concerts are held March through November in the beautiful St Matthews Anglican Church, which is one of Hastings oldest category 1 heritage buildings.

The Hastings Music Society has been presenting concerts since the 1930s, over 90 years of gathering talented local musicians to perform and to encourage one another. The $5 door fee, or annual membership subscription of $25 allows the Hastings Music Society to give money to support talented individuals to further their studies and for groups to help meet expenses.
