Taylor’s Bay is a quiet, safe and shallow family beach on the southern side of Mokotahi Hill. You can park along the beach next to Newcastle Road.
Follow SH2 towards Gisborne, at the Nūhaka roundabout go straight to Māhia. At Māhia follow Newcastle Street past the Beach Store, Māhia Fishing Club and Mokotahi Hill.
