Doors and Morning tea 10.30am
Show 11-12
Presenting, for one morning only, three distinguished gentlemen of the six-string persuasion:
Dave Boston, veteran of the Hawke’s Bay music scene, has played with more stars than he can name and quite a few who insist on being called “out-of-towners.”
Chris Beernink, stepping boldly from the bassist’s shadows to the guitarist’s spotlight, supplies the groove with the poise of a man who knows exactly how far behind the beat is tasteful.
And Luke Burns, graduate of the New Zealand School of Music and mild-mannered metalhead, completes the line-up with harmonic flair and a knowing grin.
Expect freshly arranged takes on Misty, Blue Monk, Four, All the Things You Are, and Blue Bossa — each lovingly bent into shape by these three string-slinging charmers.
Coffee optional, swing mandatory.
